  • Dr Luke Cottis

    Dr Luke Cottis

    Clinical Director

    BVMS MRCVS

    Luke joined us in 1997, shortly after qualifying as a veterinary surgeon, and has a passion for orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery and internal medicine, as well as healthy clinical culture and quality improvement. He has two whippets, who he often walks in the Chiltern hills, and is a keen gardener and cook who loves to travel.

  • Dr Heather Farmer

    Dr Heather Farmer

    MA VetMB MRCVS

    Heather graduated from Cambridge University in 2016 and worked in Buckinghamshire for a few years before joining the Hampden team in 2019. She enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary care, but has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery. She has a tabby cat called Heidi at home, and the two often play football together using ping pong balls.

    Liv graduated from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 2016 and went straight into small animal general practice in the UK. Liv has a particular interest in surgery and holds a Certificate in Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery. 

    Outside of work, Liv cherishes family life and can often be found participating in any child friendly outdoor activity canoeing being the most recent adventure. Liv also shares her home with Labrador Ellie and an ever-increasing number of tropical fish.

    Edward is currently working towards a certificate in ophthalmology.

  • Dr Erica Softley

    Erica graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2015 and has been with us since 2021. She is currently completing a certificate in diagnostic imaging, and enjoys medicine and soft tissue surgery. Her hobbies include cycling, running, climbing, cooking, reading, walking her cocker spaniel, Bailey and all things sustainability.

  • Dr Alison Baxter

    Dr Alison Baxter

    Alison graduated from Bristol University in 1994, and gained a wide range of experience in local practices before joining the Hampden team in 2020. Her interests include small animal, feline and exotic medicine, and she loves working with rabbits, chicken and tortoises. Not one to do things by halves, she has six children, eight tortoises, six cats and several pointers (which she breeds) at home.

  • Dr Gemma Prophet

    Gemma qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2005 and has spent the past 18yrs working in busy veterinary hospitals. She prides herself on being a General Practioner (GP) to a high standard, and undertook a GP certificate in 2008. Her particular interests include dermatology, behavior, ultrasound imaging, rabbit medicine, pain management and soft tissue surgery. She has also been performing acupuncture for the past 10 years. When not at work she enjoys walking her dog Honour and skiing.

    Kelly joined us shortly after graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2017, and has a passion for surgery and emergency and critical care, which she is currently completing a certificate in. When she’s not working, she likes walking her dog, Tilly, and playing polo on her horse, Mango.

    Magdalena Karczewska

    Originally from Poland, Magda graduated from the University of Warmia and Mazury in 2014 and joined our team in 2019. She holds an RCVS Advanced Veterinary Practitioner Status in small animal emergency and critical care, and has a keen interest in emergency care and diagnostic imaging. In her spare time, she loves reading, gardening and looking after her border terrier, Myszka.

    Kirsty  qualified from the university of Nottingham university 2022. I love everything about being a vet I but especially enjoy cardiology and emergency care. Outside of work I spend time playing hockey for my local team and walking my three legged rescue Lurcher Robbie!

    Jasmin recently joined the Hampden team at the beginning of the year, after previously working in a local small animal practice. Jasmin graduated from the University of Surrey in 2021 has a keen interest in internal medicine and enjoys all aspects of veterinary.

    Outside of work, Jasmin enjoys keeping fit, spending time with family and friends, travelling and has two very loveable moggy cats called Max and Pepper.
